Why wellness works

Health care and operating cost control: A number of studies provide evidence of lower medical and insurance costs for participants in health promotion programs, particularly wellness programs involving exercise.

Decreased absenteeism: Absenteeism has been shown to be impacted by employer health promotion and wellness programs. The evidence indicates a significant reduction in absenteeism and resultant dollars saved as a result of employee fitness programs.

Enhanced productivity and morale: A number of employers with health promotion programs report documented improvement in job attitude, work performance, energy level, and/or overall morale among program participants--all critical factors in enhancing productivity.

Peak risk assessment process:

  1. Initial Consultation: Through a detailed questionnaire and health screenings, we identify individual risk factors and barriers to health (lack of time, support, information, etc) to craft a routine that works for the schedule and needs of each employee.
  2. Expert accountability: Client logs and progress will be reviewed by a group fitness coach who will offer weekly suggestions and advice via email and during workouts. Clients will also be given the opportunity to meet with their coach during group workouts.
  3. Group support: After being matched up to a peer group of similar goals and fitness levels, clients participate in group workouts and seminars geared to ensure ideal support.
  4. Monthly health screenings: Each month, we will conduct detailed health screenings to track progress of participants. Based upon these screenings, we will set monthly weightloss/performance goals for each group.
